NBC Universal [NBC Universal]
a company created in 2004 by ↑NBC and Vivendi Universal. It owns a number of important film and broadcasting businesses which include the film production company ↑Universal Pictures, ↑cable television companies USA Network and the Sci-Fi Channel (USA), as well as the Spanish-language broadcaster Telemundo. It shows major sports events, and original and older films and programmes. Series include Monk, The Dead Zone and Traffic. Series shown by the Sci-Fi Channel (USA) include Stargate, Farscape and Battlestar Galactica.
